TVXQ, top earnings in Korea for 2009 [311209]

December 31, 2009

Despite the turmoil that TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki is going through, the boys are still bringing in the big bucks. On December 30th, tvN ENEWS ‘블랙박스 / Blackbox’ ranked the top 10 entertainers in terms of revenue earned and the boys of TVXQ came out on top. The top 10 ranked as the following:

2) Rain / Bi
3) Big Bang
4) Super Junior
5) Kim Hyun Joong
6) Ko Hyun Jung
7) SNSD / Girls’ Generation
8 ) Lee Byung Hun
9) Yoo Jae Suk
10) Kang Ho Dong

TVXQ’s revenue for 2009 was estimated at ₩ 127,340,000,000 (around $109.1 million US dollars). ₩ 91,200,000,000 came from album sales, ₩ 35,940,000,000 came from concerts, and around ₩ 2,000,000,000 came from advertisements to come up with the total revenue. This coinciding with the news that TVXQ was the #3 earner in Japan is great news for the boys.

Looking at all the money they generated it seems there should be plenty of money to go around, unfortunately there’s big turmoil with SM Entertainment. Hopefully, it can all resolved soon.

TVXQ performs at Kohaku [311209]

December 31, 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! XD [But the date its still 311209 o_o whats wrong?]

Last year at this time, the boys of TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki were bestowed the honor of performing on NHK’s prestigious Kohaku. For those that don’t know what Kohaku is and how it’s such a big deal, here’s an excerpt from wikipedia which explains it pretty well:

“Kohaku Uta Gassen more commonly known as simply Kohaku, is an annual music show on the New Year’s Eve produced by Japanese public broadcaster NHK and broadcast on both television and radio, nationally and internationally by NHK’s networks and some overseas (mainly cable) broadcasters which bought the program… Literally “Red and White Song Battle,” the program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. The “red” team or akagumi is composed of all female artists (or groups with female vocals), while the “white” team or shirogumi is all male (or groups with male vocals). The honor of performing on Kohaku is strictly by invitation, so only the most successful J-POP artists and enka singers can perform. Even today, a performance on Kohaku is said to be a big highlight in a singer’s career because of the show’s large reach.”

Last month DBSK / TVXQ / Tohoshinki were invited once again and earlier today they sang their hit single Stand By U. Despite what they’re going through they put on an excellent performance

You can send your messages to Yunho and Yunho’s Father, In English! [311209]

Send your messages to Yunho and Yunho’s Father

Merry Christmas!

I am looking forward to Mr. Children’s live concert today.

There are only a few days left for this year.
This year was a new start for me, and I am happy that I was able to make many new friends through my blog.

And, I would like to pray for your and my health, so that we could greet the coming new year as a good one.

Well, this is just a personal acitivity, but I am the author of the book “The Secrets of Tohoshinki”.
And I am a Tohoshinki fan, especially of Yunho. (Yunho, from the man’s point of view, is a very cool guy.)

Currently, considering the lawsuit, we cannot see much of their smiles, and I think that it is a trying time for Tohoshinki fans.
This is just my personal point of view, but I would like the 3 members to firmly claim their opinions to SM, and want them to solve the problem without leaving unpleasant feelings afterwards.
And, I would like to see the active and cheerful Tohoshinki as soon as possible.

However, concerning this problem, there seems to be a baseless bashing to the two remaining (Yunho and Changmin).

Especially, I think that the leader Yunho should be full of hardships, but he is doing his best and enduring such conditions.

So, with my new year’s message to Yunho’s father, I would like to send all of your messages, too.

I myself received assistance from Yunho’s father when I was writing “The Secrets of Tohoshinki Part 2”, and I am truly grateful.
If it is possible, I would like to meet him in an early stage next year, and would like to directly convey my gratitude to him.

Since this is just a personal activity, I cannot do a big thing. But I would like to convey Yunho’s (and of course, all of the other members’) fans’ messages. I would like to convey the messages of the people who loves Tohoshinki.
I am sorry that I could only inform the people who are checking my blog, so please introduce this to any persons who are willing to send out their messages.

Everyone who strongly wants to write a message, please leave your comments.
(Please remember to follow to rules.)

1. Please write your comments in Korean or English.

5. Please write your name (your nickname should be OK)
6. Since everyone could check on your comments, please do not write telephone numbers and mail addresses in your comments.
7. (omitted)

To all of you who have read my book, this sould be the only thing I can do for you.
Please give us your messages to Yunho and Yunho’s father, who should be worried so much.
(Many sentences omitted.)
